Can you imaging that a software programmer/developer, decided to do a renovation project, without much of the knowledge about construction, plumbing, pipes, electrician? well, that is me: Chris.
Luckily I had a friend/neighbor as my backup.
The whole protect lasted more than 18 months, covered almost all the areas, items, including dumping construction garbage, tiding-up household stuffs. At the end of the whole project, I have gained exponential amount of knowledge related with almost anything of house, also established a great relation with my contractor friend.
Even I could not take renovation as my career, but as s software guy, it always keep in my mind that I can do something related with renovation in some other way, in the meantime to strength and extend the relation with my contractor and other service providers, to provide very much needed helps to the new DIYer, as well as the households who need various tasks/jobs to be done.
